Group Lessons at the Music Cafe – Beginner Guitar

Dave offers beginner group guitar classes for kids, teens, and adults who are ready to start their musical journey. Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar before or you’ve only learned a few chords, our classes will give you the skills and confidence to play real songs within weeks.
Each 8-week course is taught in a relaxed group setting where students learn together, practice with each other, and build toward a final performance at the end of the session. With only one hour per week, plus a little practice at home, students will quickly see progress and have fun making music with others.

Guitar Classes by Age Group
Ages 8–10: Guitar Foundations Through Play
Younger students learn rhythm, simple chords, and beginner songs in a fun, game-based environment. The focus is on building confidence, coordination, and a love of music.
Ages 11–14: Songs, Skills, and Style
Pre-teens and teens work on popular songs, proper technique, and group playing skills. By the end of the session, they’ll be ready to play along confidently with others.
Ages 15+: Learn Guitar at Any Age
It’s never too late to start guitar. Adult beginners (or older teens) will gain a strong foundation in chords, strumming, and essential techniques while learning songs they enjoy.
